The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) seeks to prevent pediatric HIV infection and to eradicate pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs.
About Us
Every single day, 900 children are infected with HIV. Without diagnosis and treatment, almost 50% of these children will die before their 2nd birthday. And yet, these deaths from pediatric AIDS are 100% preventable.
Currently working in 15 countries at more than 5,600 sites worldwide, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation has reached more than 14.7 million women with services to prevent transmission of HIV to their babies.
Through innovative programs that enable us to reach remote populations, overcome stigma and discrimination, and empower mothers to make lifesaving and preventative health decisions, we can and will end pediatric AIDS in this generation.
More than 20 years ago the Foundation was started to advance one mother’s fight. Today, we ask you to make a mother’s fight your fight. Please visit www.amothersfight.org to learn more.
