About
Diveheart’s mission is to build confidence, independence and self-esteem and to improve the quality of life in children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Diveheart fosters a “CAN-DO” spirit through SCUBA diving and other related activities in the zero gravity environment of inner space underwater. These programs enable individuals to face their own life challenges and to overcome barriers that before might have seemed insurmountable. In addition to building confidence, independence and self-esteem, Diveheart is pioneering SCUBA THERAPY, which promotes physical therapy in a zero gravity environment as well as capitalizing on SCUBA’s inherent hyperbaric benefits. Working with top researchers at Duke Medical Center and John Hopkins, Diveheart hopes to Revolutionize Rehabilitation for individuals of all abilities. Diveheart’s proposed “Freedom Center” Neutral Buoyancy Lab will conduct research, rehabilitation, education, training and provide vocational opportunities for children, adults and veterans with disabilities.
