About
Hospital Audiences, Inc. (HAI) inspires healing, growth and learning through engagement with the arts.
Founded in 1968, HAI is a nationally recognized arts services organization dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved New Yorkers whose access to arts and culture has been limited by health, age or income.
HAI arts and wellness programs – which reach over 350,000 people annually through local partnerships with hospitals, schools and other social and institutional care facilities such as senior centers and day treatment programs – are specially designed to serve individuals in challenging life situations such as advanced age, illness and physical and developmental disability as well as youth from underserved communities.
HAI is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts award for Best Practices in Arts in Healthcare and has received recognition for its significant contribution to the artistic life of New York City.
