The Hunger Project is a global, nonprofit, strategic organization whose mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world. The Hunger Project works in more than 24,000 villages in 12 countries throughout Africa, South Asia and Latin America. Together with its affiliated partner countries (who raise program funds and awareness), The Hunger Project has a worldwide staff of more than 300 people, with a Global Office located in New York, NY.
The Hunger Project is a United Nations accredited non-governmental organization, which has received recognition from top charity watchdog agencies, including a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.
