ProCon.org is a free educational website that presents nonpartisan research on important social issues in a primarily pro-con format. Over 32 million students, teachers, parents, and others use ProCon.org to learn about today’s controversial topics without bias and help them make informed decisions.

Our mission statement is: "Promoting critical thinking, education, and informed citizenship by presenting controversial issues in a straightforward, nonpartisan, primarily pro-con format."

Formed in 2004, ProCon.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity that has no government affiliations of any kind. We do not express opinions on any of the 40+ issues we research.

ProCon.org websites have been used by over 2,900 schools in all 50 states and 49 countries. Our resources have been referenced by over 490 media organizations (NPR, BBC, CNN, Fox, NY Times, LA Times, etc.), 20 US state governments, and seven federal agencies.
